And you? Have you already purchased the "Garda Altitude Diary"?

The "Diario di quota del Garda" project was born in 2024, when several mountain huts and destinations overlooking Lake Garda decided to network and create a joint project. Despite different altitudes, histories, and mountains of origin, the passion for the mountains is immense and unites everyone behind the project, including you.

The altitude diary you can hold in your hands (available directly at the refuge for €10.00) is designed to inspire you to discover and experience the Garda mountains. For each destination and refuge, you'll find an activity you can complete in exchange for a stamp acknowledging your passage. Behind each request is the desire of the people of the Baldo Mountains to enrich your knowledge of the territory, to instill respect for what, for us, is a true home, but also to ensure you have fun during the travel experience.

Explore new destinations and discover the many stages of this journey!

The mountain is life, breath, and emotion. From the wildest and most untouched valleys, to the rushing stream, the rustling of beech leaves, the shy gaze of a chamois on the ridge, to the fresh breeze of dawn.

A living mountain in all its essence, home to many species, but also to those whose life is the mountain. Even if you can't see them, these places unfold, rooted in anecdotes, silences, stories from past lives, and encounters of a tradition that is slowly disappearing.

And yet they exist, they live in people's minds, they yearn to rise to the surface, for those who want to know them and touch them with their own hands. This fascinates the youngest, but also the oldest, explorers. This is the message we want to convey by bringing these places of the past to the forefront and encouraging people to grasp, experience, and explore everything this territory offers—a territory that has much to tell and amazes in all its forms.

From the simple taste of mountain cheese to the silence of war-torn regions, enjoy it all with our senses: OBSERVE, DISCOVER, LISTEN.

Located at an altitude of 974 meters on Monte Calino, the Rifugio San Pietro offers spectacular views of Lake Garda, Baldo, Stivo, and the towns of Arco and Riva. It is easily accessible and accessible to all, making it ideal for holidays and stays. The hut is a fantastic starting point for climbing Monte Misone, as well as for trekking and biking tours. To receive the refuge stamp, it is necessary to respect the mountain, its flora, and fauna, and to return your own trash and any trash left outside the refuge or in the adjacent meadows to the valley below. Furthermore, the "Diario di quota del Garda" brochure can be purchased directly from the participating refuges. Rifugio San Pietro welcomes anyone who would like to receive the brochure. The "Diario di quota del Garda" project not only promotes the discovery of new destinations, but also respect for nature and local culture . Visitors are encouraged to observe, discover, and listen to the mountain, enjoying everything it offers with all their senses. The project emphasizes the importance of preserving the beauty of the places visited and being responsible explorers. The rules include checking the weather, staying on marked trails, not littering, and respecting wildlife.
